If you don't, aren't you just saying to the next con man that it's okay, jail is too hard so you won't actually get punished, might as well steal billions of dollars?

He got sick on his days off like a real man. Didn't take a personal day because he was feeling low. Did his job, earning for the man. And he fucking deserved that candy!

Government spend much money. Much money come from tax and borrowing. Let's pretend there's $100 in the economy. Gov't takes 10% in tax. They spend $10, and the rest of the people share $90.

When next year comes, the economy grew to $110 and the government Collect $11 in tax, but actually decide to spend $20. Meaning they borrowed $9.

Year 3, economy grows to $150. Government gets $15 in tax, everyone feels "richer", but government has to borrow to pay the $9 on last year, plus whatever new spending this year. Let's say gov't now owes $50.

So the next year! They create inflation and everyone has lots of money but can't afford shit. Maybe economy balloons to stupidity like $500. Government takes $50, and pays off their debt. Or could.

In in this way, over time, inflation helps reduce the massive debt load incurred by governments because $1 is a lot easier to get in 2023 than it was in 2019.

There is one legit worry in the article, that the new show would impact TOS movies. But the rest of the article is spent talking about how it would be impossible for the new show to be good. It's wild to read it with the benefit of hindsight lol

I book service calls (repairs). Between calls and especially using my hands free while driving between service calls, I return phone calls and texts. When I get where I'm going, if I'm ever early, I respond to emails or place calls. If I finish a thing early or ever have to wait for people, I return texts calls and emails while waiting.

Ive also aced driving distance between places in the city where I work so I'm able to build a solid schedule without running behind.

At night, to clear my head, I schedule a bunch of texts and emails to send off first thing in the morning. Gives the impression I'm working even though I'm probably still asleep.

I'm 6'7. The only people who make vehicles that fit me comfortably has been gm. I drove a small GMC Pontiac for 12 years, then a small GMC compact SUV for 11 years. Now, granted its for work and I need it, but I now drive a large ass GMC Sierra around. Only foreign manufacturers even make cars anymore, and they make the interiors small. My Pontiac was small, and it had tons of interior space. So it is possible.

Time management.

Ive become a fucking pro at squeezing as many tasks into a day as I possibly can. I frequently get told they have no idea how I keep on top of things. I basically work 2 and a half full time jobs for people at the same company, and I accomplish it by overlapping my time and billing per item not per hour

In my industry licensing is done on our own time, as a condition of employment. If it's actually just 4 hrs, I might just bite the bullet and do it.

And potentially negotiate a pay bump, as you agree to increase your value to their benefit, as long as there's something in it for you also. Especially if working in Z is at all less convenient
