But I can binge streaming services and then cancel without multiple hundred dollar fees. And I can use the same app for Uber no matter what city I’m in.

So… I get things aren’t paradise but let’s be clear they’re still largely covering a lot of folks needs.

He must be incredibly shocked that nothing else he’s tried has caused it’s complete collapse yet. I guess just deleting it is all that is left.

It’s not searching for pages or facts it’s searching for usages of words and tying them together with words found nearby.

Agreed! I just don’t know why the letter to the post was acting like the previous pricing was sustainable at all. It wasn’t, clearly, for a million reasons.

I’m in a similar boat. The only major issue I’ve found people are likely to run into is mass IP blocks from MS/Google. Where do you host it? Cloud provider these days or colo type place?

Jokes on them, now not only is there no reason to search for anything, but there’s no reason to go their site either.

I finally ended up going to a larger mail service (paid, but free) that just provides an outgoing smtp relay for me. Even on a busy month I send far below the 1k emails they require before they start charging, and their servers IP ranges aren’t blanket blocked by the Google’s of the world.

Realistically once a business hits a certain size it’s practically a requirement. There’s not really a good way to be a company with a market cap of hundreds of billions, yet alone trillions and not at least act like a bank in a whole lot of situations. Might as well actually own one.
