The rules allow any character to wield any weapon. Usually characters weapons are chosen based on race, class, stats, and the whims of the DM.

Well excuse me for wanting to save the lives of children, women, elderly, press, humanitarians, etc... We all know the Israeli response is disproportionate and that they never intended to rescue any hostages. Do you really want to keep defending that government?
Yep it's definitely a thing. For those saying you're not seeing it, that's because you're not blocking it. I use multiple layers of ad blocking but my unlock is set to block third party scripts and frames by default.
