Neat, I'll admit that im a bit late with vpn bandwagon, I've been fiddling around with dynamic dns and prays to the network gods that my LAN wont encounter some replicating malware or nasty stuff (although im monitoring it and has logs). And yea, wow, this thing is fast and easy.

If you dont mind "chinese" made phones, then I would recommend a used poco f1 change battery (optional if you fancy doing so: unlocking bootloader and changing to custom rom)
its shell is made of plastic so she can rough it as she like (not sure with the screen tho since it is glass)
Or if you want something somewhat recent, poco m4 5g, same reason, shell made of plastic

Why would you like to federate something that has practiced a "single/minimal domain fits all" ? (ads, scripts, media, trackers, etc. in a single fucking domain), that'll most likely to stress your instance/server and bandwidth since you cant segregate the stuff you only need. I know activitypubs runs differently but if they managed to put thier style of "single domain fits all" (its only a matter of time) then they could just easily inject thier stuff (ads, trackers or whatever the fuck they have) on your instance making your instance thier side bitch

I got 2 q+ tv boxes running armbian for h6
1st one runs as my dns server + sinkhole via technitium (pihole is a bit janky on them idk why) 2nd one runs as my unifi controller + samba fileserver + torrent downloader
Reason why i went with this is because they are cheaper than sbc or 2nd hand laptop
Fun part is that they are running at 20w/h in total

Alba aefd540 or aefd556/7, not sure if these are available on eu tho, they're kinda cheap and does the job.
