Probably one of the most famous examples, but the robots in The Matrix originally kept humans around as wetware CPUs using their spare brainpower. Studio execs forced the Wachowskis to change it to them using humans as batteries, even though that makes no sense. Agent Smith possessing someone in the real world in the sequels would have made a ton more sense with the original explanation.

"We've almost got some of their telecommunications cracked; the front end even runs on a laptop!" The Mac that sunk a thousand ships could have been merely clunky product placement, not a bafflingly stupid tech-on-film moment.

Wasn't the in-movie explanation for that that all modern tech was secretly based on reverse engineered alien tech?

It definitely slows down development needing to find third party solutions for basic tasks. On the other hand, knowing the implementation details means it's easier to tweak things to meet your needs.

The Asset Library is supposed to be a middle ground, but it needs a lot more content and polish before I'd call it ready.

I mean technically...

Or some sort of vegetable chopper for megaflora vegetables that didn't survive the Climate Wars.

"Perhaps for some sort of fertility rite."

The Worst Fighting Game is the name of the series. He's covered a bunch of games that are worse already.

I've never found his videos on fighting games interesting (nothing against him, just not a fan of the genre), but his What Happened? series is great. He goes into detail about the problems during game development that lead to famous flops.

Luckily for them, Franklin is one of the few who would go after the older person in this equation. The man loved his GILFs.

It was unconventional, but nobody could argue with the success of the new undercover Witness Protection program.

I like the Vin Diesel film xXx. It's loud, dumb, and nothing like what I usually enjoy, but somehow it manages to scratch enough mental itches that I'll watch the whole thing through every few years.

It looks like something straight out of POD, an old racing game.
