When federation between Lemmy instances was finally implemented and people started forming their own instances, I decided to take part in that despite not having extensive system administration experience. I also wanted to experiment. Now I have thought that my intention for Sopuli is to be an alternative to the shitty corporate social media platforms you described – and looks like this has taken off very well in the last few years. Good to hear that I am doing something inspiring and beneficial.

Vaikka niin paljon kiinnostaisi räplätä, päätin että teen Sopulin palvelimen migraation VPS:ltä Hetznerin dedikoidulle palvelimelle ensi viikolla. Kerroinkin asiasta jo Mastodonissa ja Matrixissa. On aika muhkea palvelin, 8-ytiminen Intelin Core i9, 64 gigaa muistia ja kaksi 512 gigan SSD:tä RAID-asetuksella. Olkoot juhannus nyt sapattina sitä ennen. Ajattelin ainakin käydä sisarusten luona, syödään hyvin ja katsotaan leffoja. Olisi myös tarkoitus nähdä kavereita. Kaupunkijuhannus oikeastaan.
