As others have mentioned, changing your keyboard alone is likely not enough to mitigate risk of injury.

For me, it was a combination of a height adjustable desk, adequate adjustable chair, a foot rest, setting my monitors to the appropriate height (as well as their arrangement), and an employer mandated ergonomic assessment.

The ergonomist did not have strong opinions on my choice to use a split keyboard but did acknowledge its a matter of comfort, preference, and overall how it fits properly into my workspace.

Have been pleased with 1Password going on 5+ years with a family plan. Bitwarden is also a great consideration. Avoid LastPass.

In addition to other mentions, WorldspawnsKeebs on etsy is based in the US. I’ve bought several kits from him (shipped to Canada) and they have all turned out great.

100% - can confirm very very tedious. I taped, lubed, and removed the stabilizer bar on a set of choc red and blacks - they are much much much quieter and smoother. They still have bottom out noise but may not be possible to totally mitigate without bumpers like in mx silent stems.

Lily58/Lulu daily drivers… but my iPad Magic Keyboard is standard layout. Bit of a mental shift but imo it’s good to have a mix to keep the skills fresh!
