Are we talking on Lemmy or Real World? On Lemmy or whatever platform, targeted harassment is obviously a problem, the real world it's also a problem where cops would get involved. So analogously to the cop it would be the server admin. But in the real world you can change and you don't lose your identity (usernames online). If people are talking shit, or you got Nazi groups or whatever it's just talk, talk. That's not me defending Nazi's btw, I'm defending speech.
Harrasment is different that's targeted at someone.
No technically it's someone's server and they can do what ever they want with it, but legally speaking and my opinions on speech may just differ. That's it, imo if it's not a call to violence or some actual illegal shit it should be free speech, especially if we're talking about Americans on American servers or servers in other countries that are privacy oriented. Unfortunately when you do want free speech, which I do, you also have to defend horrible and hateful speech. End of day the it's your own choice to engage or completely ignore the people you absolutely hate.

That's why 'hate crimes' is dumb, they are crimes.
Oh man I read the first book a couple months ago, loved it and want so much more. I hear it gets a lot better but I'm like, I liked it already.
