On Oklahoma I know it depends on where you are for when they test them. In Tulsa it's Wednesday at noon. But in Norman it's Friday at noon (which also marks when you can start setting up for tailgating during football season)
Roku does have ads but they are pretty minimal and not invasive. I've had roku since almost the start and have had a roku tv for several years and love it
