I don't know about you but I'm very selective now on what I play. I don't have the time I use too so nothing in this sale was for me. I don't think that makes us boring or that they are getting worse just I think there are too many games.. lol
I am glad to share. I am super excited for it. It really itches this craving I have. The art, music and gameplay all match my style.
Try the demo and let me know what you think. I love it.
That's great news. I'm extremely excited for this title. I'm still going to purchase a physical copy to support this game. Now it can stay sealed. :)
I take back what I said. Alan Wake Remastered was a mess. The story was decent.. ish. That combat though.. I haven't been that frustrated with a games system for a while. I died so many times due to poor camera rotation, random enemies appearing with no indication that they were popping out behind me, and an aiming/dodging mechanic that sucked. I don't remember being that frustrated playing it when if first came out but man, I was glad that it was over. Oh and "remastered".. lol. The graphics and character models were comical.
If I had to grade this game I would give it a D. It wasn't a failure but it was right there on that line.
It is surprising that there is no concern for the other titles to get a reassuring message of continued presence on the PlayStation ecosystem. There are still games from Bethesda like Elder Scrolls, Doom, etc. and Activision titles like Diablo that seem to get no mention. It is one of those issues that arise from these acquisitions and considering the volume of titles now possibly being locked out of every ecosystem except Microsoft, it really is a master class from Microsoft to keep this attention on COD. They were never going to lock out COD from other systems because that is just too much money to throw away.
There have been some amazing games over the years that have really hit that majestic note over and over again. The Last of Us, God of War, FF VII Remake, Uncharted 2, Persona 5 Royal, Dead Space, Tales of Berseria, etc.. I wouldn't say its rare. There are some amazing story tellers out there and they have let me eat good these past two plus decades.
One of the beautiful things is that more and more games are coming out every week. It use to be that a game that peaked my interest would drop every few months. Now there is one every 2 - 3 weeks. I've learned to stop always expecting transcending adventures and to just appreciate your average fun journey. It's been a blast.
I remember my family getting together when I was little and buying me an NES with Super Mario Bros and Mega Man. Unfortunately, I could never get a new game after that first purchase. It was too expensive or a waste of time. It was the 80s, they told me to go touch grass. That was free and "better". I was stuck borrowing games from friends and neighborhood kids so I mostly lost interest.
I occasionally played games at the arcade or at a friends house but It wasn't until I was over at a friends house watching him play FFVII that my PlayStation obsession began. I can't truly touch on why that game spoke to me but it did and it was strong. I became dedicated to getting my hands on that system and game. I was a teenager and still to young work but I had my birthday money, took an under the table job at a local restaurant and found the drive to go around the neighborhood and earn that money. Whatever I could. Yard, house, etc. It was a major accomplishment to walk into the store, I forget which one.. I think it was K-Mart, and walk out with the system and game. I mostly stick to JRPGs but I've fallen in love games with like God of War, Horizon, Infamous, Resistance, Sly Cooper, and Uncharted. I've tried the big hitters on Xbox and meh.. although I will say, Nintendo still has a special place in my heart and they have some fun family games like Mario Kart, Mario Party and really just any Mario game. :)
I try to play everything I can to bring that feeling back and have come to accept that the titles that resonate with me the deepest are only on PlayStation. As a grown adult with limited free time, I've put my stock in this PlayStation ecosystem because it continues to give me my favorite stories.
It will really depend on its full function. I hope what they have shown is not the end of the product because as it stands now, no. I can't image the price point being low enough to justify a purchase.
Watching:
Ruruoni Kenshin Mushoku Tensei Jujutsu Kaisen Zom 100
Giving a 3 episode trial:
My Happy Marriage Undead Murder Farce Synduality Noir
I'm excited to play Twisted Metal again. I was showing the ending videos to my son the other day when we saw that there was a TV show coming out soon. I was kind of hoping they would make a new entry into the series but this will do for now.
Yeah. FF XV was a mess. I'm really loving FF XVI and haven't been able to put it down. I would recommend giving the demo a try and picking it up once a sale hits the title. It's taken a spot as one of my favorite Final Fantasy titles.
I'm the same with Call of Duty. It's the only game my sister plays so I get it every year and play online.
