Cheesecake Factory used to have awesome corn fritters. Then they discontinued them. I guess I'll have to make some myself now that I'm reminded of them.
Yep. That was my first thought - how everyone says to use Matrix rather than Lemmy DMs for anything sensitive. This will be fantastic.
It's taught that way in the US as well.
I've got Rewards money that expires in about a week. I'd love to be able to use money tied up in Google Play to make a donation. I don't know what else to use it on.
Well, dang. I might just have to have a boring old regular display name then. Thanks!
Yeah, this would make sense. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if there were a few "piracy repos" you could add to your package manager. I've never thought to look haha.
Is there a way to edit your profile from within Connect? Like updating display name and bio, or uploading a new avatar or banner? I feel like there's been a handful of things I didn't think Connect could do, but found out later that I was just overlooking it or didn't recognize it in the settings.
Another random question - the area in the pop out panel on the left where your username/avatar is displayed at the top (it's blue for me). Should that be showing my user banner? If not, can that be a thing?
I feel personally attacked. 😂
Don't worry - this post is a day old, and I only figured it out, independently, about 4 hours ago. 😂
I mean, you kind of just described two things that are specifically hard to get working properly on Linux in general - MS Office and the Adobe suite. You're better off using FOSS alternatives, like LibreOffice and Krita or GIMP. Otherwise, you'll need something like Lutris as a Wine frontend to install Windows apps - and at that point, you might as well just install stock Linux, get qBittorrent going, pirate what you want, and install as needed. Plus, I don't think I'd trust the security of a modified version of Linux for piracy. That's just asking to be exploited.
This messes me up every single time. I click the comment icon to read the comments. But if you look in the post settings (pic below), button 1 is defaulted to "comment," so I think it is intended to be a "leave a comment" button, as you stated. Which I do agree is counterintuitive. You have to click the body of the post to read comments. I'd prefer clicking the button to take me to the comments section and then have a "leave a comment" button if I decide to do so.
