I usually play on and off. My wife saw me playing and got it, now she's addicted. Our son saw that I had it on the switch too and started to play it this weekend. Now they are Stardew crackheads.

Has to do more with end user. People want the mystery: are they alive, are they dead, did they implode, are they floating on the surface some where. If they are alive there's a million questions about it. It's just the way of the beast.

I also think it has to do with proximity - this happened close to "home".

People are also stupid, some of the questions they were asking and stating that it's a conspiracy because if the titanic is still whole how did a sub implode because they arent sure how a pressurized chamber works is astounding.

To follow that, they probably don't know where Greece is.

Maybe once the hobby subs and smaller game subs come on. Right now a lot of those are staying put on Reddit and not migrating over. It's cool to see someone start those subs here but without content it's just meh.

Dear sweet baby Jesus, this solves so many problems I had with lemmy. Now I've got "subreddits", lemmywinks, lemmstwrs?

I give employers my Google voice number and turn off notifications. Keep the tab up during work hours and don't have to worry about being reached after work.

Trying to find all my communities here. But some of my hobbies were niche and it was good on Reddit to see those already active. Even the lesser hobbies still don't have much traffic here
