All the books in the series are very good. Also devoured Kaiju Preservation Society. I'm a huge Scalzi fan - I dream about being as sharp and witty as the characters he writes.

Currently listening to Crota by Owl Goingback. It's a monster book (so not great literature), but it's fast-paced and holding my interest.
Currently reading The Mountain in the Sea by Ray Nayler. Just started it, but enjoying it so far.
Just finished listening to Preparing for War: The Extremist History of White Christian Nationalism--and What Comes Next by Bradley Onishi. An eye-opening and frightening books that sheds light on why so many evangelicals are die-hard Trump supporters, in spite of the fact that he's the personification of the seven deadly sins.
Just finished reading Looking Glass Sound by Catriona Ward. Another twisty psychological thriller by a master of the genre. Not as good as Last House on Needless Street, but that's a hard act to follow.
I loved the Vorkosigan saga books. Bujold does a great job developing fully-realized characters and tackling complex themes without neglecting the forward momentum and action of a good space opera. Even in Falling Free which, if I recall correctly, is one of the quieter books in the series.
Look how clean that beauty is. Like a plastic model before it's been distressed.
