Undocumented students is the only reason farm towns even still have schools to send kids to. Seriously in my mid sized city we were closing schools due to drastic drop in kids. Actual citizens were having to drive 30 plus min one way to get their kids to school. But then we had a migrant explosion and schools started to open back up.

I mean, who can afford parties any more. Not even joking. None of my friends are buying anything extra for parties. Kids parties as well. Just the essentials.

State of mild annoyance?

First part of finding a solution is admitting to the problem. For the change we need, the wealthy and powerful need to be removed.

Ya but not for anything outside that specific reason for the emergency. For this example some of those added powers is so the government can cut some red tape to reduce the problem. The chicken industry in CA alone is worth billions of dollars, directly employees tens of thousands of people, and indirectly employees hundreds of thousands of people. Adding in the fact that it's also a public health emergency the governor using state police to restrict access to chicken farms isn't some authoritarian move to suppress the people. It's to keep nut jobs (PETA, Conspiracy theorist, etc) from getting sick.

State of emergency just sounds scary but it's more about unlocking additional funds for issues. My state was under a "state of emergency" for drought. All it ment was some industries and communities could receive extra subsidies for water costs.

And the really big corporations own their buildings. You think the company locked into leases are mad? The companies who own the building are pissed! Some have a multi million dollar building that's losing value faster than the speed of light.
