I strongly disagree on that point. Preservation of the internet is extremely important for cultural and historical reasons. Just look at the enormous amount of old websites stored on the internet archive and how helpful as well as culturally significant that preservation effort is. And that is only a drop in the ocean compared to how big the internet actually is.

Yes preserving stuff, especially video, takes enormous amounts of data and is hard but is well worth the effort in the end.

I really hope that governments, especially the EU, recognise the isse server shutdowns and games being lost to history poses. It should be illegal for companies to make your already purchased games unplayable if not community hosted alternatives exist.

On that note it should also be fully legal to emulate and freely distribute any game that isn't on sale anymore. Years of cultural history are being destroyed for corporate profit.

I have now had a Goruck G2 backpack for 4 years as my daily driver as well as for travel and shorter hikes. It is a great backpack, heavy duty and well thought out design. The only downside being it's somewhat hefty price tag and the shipping costs to Europe.

It's not his fault that his bosses and their bosses are fuckwits. Don't blame the common worker for the shit the company board does
