Agree with you but just want to share the definition of memes with you. Memes can be discussion points, ideas, formats, image templates, or any other vector for transporting an idea.
A meme is an idea, behavior, or style that spreads by means of imitation from person to person within a culture and often carries symbolic meaning representing a particular phenomenon or theme
Image memes are just extremely easy to digest, and tend to be more enjoyable, so they're a great method for sharing ideas.

But yeah, it sucks here. 1/6 of the texan population are immigrants, and 10% aren't citizens and can't vote. The right want you to victim blame. I'd encourage you to see it as people being oppressed by an overreaching corrupt government, similar to Florida. Sure there are idiots and racists but a lot of it is voter suppression and disenfranchisement
I've seen some around in my city. You can spot them because they are completely plastered in makeup. It looks incredibly unnatural in person but gets filtered out by the camera.

I'd expect someone to raise it as a point, though, because I've seen the Nazi in a bar meme a million times but never has anyone pointed out the problematic linkage of punks and nazis.
I think it's more likely that there are bad faith trolls here already that, rather than engage in a discussion, downvote to silence views they don't like.

Authoritarianism is all there is to right wing ideology. Power is in the hands of the few. Adding a vertical axis for different flavors of right/left wing are a meme, and not a very good one at that. If an "enlightened" dictator implemented full communism through sheer military force or charismatic sorcery, it would still be right wing.
I was actually concerned about that when Nate got let go from FiveThirtyEight (though I think he still licenses his model to the site). Is there any further details on why he was fired?
Thanks for the thoughtful reply, I definitely agree. I strongly believe the best avenue of success is through removing the dollar dependence. It feels like there was some rustling when Bitcoin started to gain traction but I believe that threats been coopted by the rich.
