Probably because it doesn’t fit the vibe of Meta. Lots of influencers use it so people just don’t care and don’t need to step back and look at the bigger picture.

I don’t believe it is. The subreddit is over a decade old at this point, this community is rather new by comparison. Probably @Iamt1aa created it when they moved to Lemmy as well.

That would make sense. The subreddit is akin to a warzone between Exmuslims and Hindutvas and other fundamentalist groups, they think we’re just some hill for their stupid vs stupid battle, instead of our own people. Although it’s pretty easy to catch them, you can just see the 2010 anti-muslim memes they’re posting that are so low quality, and don’t usually feature ex-muslims but instead trying to potray muslims as one giant terrorist group. And it seems that we’re winning so far as long u/An_Atheist_God keeps calling them out.

Unfortunately the exmuslim community here is much less active. Let’s hope this changes. I’d rather have people be able to post here than deal with Reddit’s stupid admins who randomly ban people.

I learnt a Japanese saying watching a skit about idioms from other countries, it goes like Peaches, Chestnuts; 3 years, Persimmons; 8 years. We just need to wait and it’ll be active; be hopeful.

Is this anyway affiliated to u/agentliquid’s r/exmuslim on reddit?
