That's foul, I was considering getting a Poco Flagship for my next phone. Though I guess if you manage to unlock the bootloader and run a custom rom, perhaps it doesn't matter as much if you don't get "HyperOS" updates?

This doesn't really bode well for Xiaomi's future though.

Agree, it's not particularly customizable, but I've been using it for a week now, and it's been the launcher I've been looking for.

Only issue I've had with it is that sometimes, the web search tries to search as if the query was a domain and not a question. Though that's not a deal breaker.

Proprietary isn't always a bad thing, but the developer(s) of the proprietary product have to have decent intentions which is not usually the case.

I'll be sure to!

This looks nice, I'd like to try it soon. I have a Nextcloud instance setup on my mini pc, but I don't know if it's my mini pc (audiobookshelf for instance runs with no problems), but NextCloud is just really slow.

Got it! I’ll wrap the ends with electrical tape then (I assume that’s what you use electric tape for), thank you for the tip!

Best Buy would probably be my best bet, thanks!

… well that would give me an excuse to go to the beach

I personally am a sucker for Chinese Designed UIs, they’re really well polished and thoroughly skinned for Android, and Harmony OS (no matter what Huawei says about it, I’m still inclined to believe it’s Android) is no exception to that. The ecosystem stuff MrWhoseTheBoss showcased on Huawei products seemed pretty well done, and it made me think how good an ecosystem like Samsung’s could’ve been.

It’s proprietary though, and you can’t really get it on anything but Huawei phones. Unfortunately, these aren’t the golden days of custom roms anymore where people are porting Flyme onto their Redmi Note 5 Pros anymore :(

If it wasn’t for the obvious gripes I have about Huawei, I would probably have no problem using it, alas, I am just fine with using a custom ROM like RisingOS on my Pixel 6a anyway.

Oh okay! I’ll look out for them if I decide to dispose my batteries there.

When you say taping up one end of the battery, do you mean the battery itself or the connections/plugs? My headphone battery is one of those plug-in connectors, my calculator battery is like a nokia battery.

Like trash bins? I do know those are in the entrance.
