"Garfield without Garfield" was funny for the first year.

Despite being the joke being old hat, somebody decided to start producing a "Heathcliff without Heathcliff".

And now this?

You're only upset because you know I'm right.

The guy with a reputation for not paying his attorneys is having trouble attracting good legal council?

Shocked. I'm shocked.

On one hand: A sweet person with a fun hat isn't going to do much to change or reform anything.

On the other hand: It isn't hurting either.

You poor Canadians don't get to enjoy the joy of financially ruinous hospital bills or depending on GoFundMe to afford medicine.

I pity you.

As of this reply, of the 20 links on the frontpage of [email protected] ... 9 are "Heathcliff Without Heathcliff". Sometimes the comic has as many as 15 on the front-page.

The account spams the instance - I just don't know if it's an in-joke, the poster just has nowhere else to post an over-used joke, or the mods don't care about spamming.

Well, yes. If you are a high-income earner or if you make most of your money from rents or investments ... the 'economy' is strong. For the rest of us - we have to make choices between healthcare and food.

For once I'm glad this is an example of pure stupid that isn't coming from the USA.

In context of Medicare for All ... yes: BoTh SiDeS.

There are differences between both political parties. But on healthcare issues, both parties are very protective of insurance company interests. To pretend otherwise is incredibly immature.
