Minimalism. I myself preferred the futuristic style of frutiger aero or sceumorfism (sorry for bad peeling I have dyslexia)
Su Linux is most likely the answer to lering younger people to use computers fedora is especially good becouse it has a nice package manager (dnf) that is easy to understand
Sometimes for fixes and stuff but not much anyomore
And as bringus studios said windows on tuch screens suck and especially on mobile gaming devices

Catalina runs perfectly on my mid 2009 macbook pro so it will run fine

If you want a EAVEN more windows like distro I will recomend nobara. The official version is a windows 7 styled gnome and it is based on fedora.
It's good but it doesn't have all fixes for all problems yet like reddit had
