I've added a couple of bits to the "code" so that there are links to the reddit & redlib sites in case the comments are interesting but pulled into the feed too soon in the conversation. Also the option to use "credentials" as a way to set the server address as a variable.

I do the same with the activitypub subscriptions, as well as grabbing regular RSS feeds & notifications. I pretty much only need one app to keep up with all of my news - & can "click though" to interact in the real app/website if i have something to contribute

I actually use if to feed into Huginn, which means that it never leaves my local network. For the odd occasions that i want to add to the conversation i don't think that i have an alternative but to log into reddit (then log straight off after that). So it make sense to bake the right URL into the RSS. I don't browse reddit at random, but YMMV & an auto redirect to the redlib server is a good thing to have in reserve - I use Firefox, of course

#really! 🫢 Combination of force of habit & search optimisation. I agree though, they do look odd

I have no idea why it's taken me so long, but I've "discovered" #Redlib as a way to view #Reddit  without all of the cruft. #selfhosted of course. https://www.macklin.co/redlib-reddit/

You can use Redlib to create an #RSS feed, which you can process in #Huginn to create a new version of the feed that includes the comments as well as the original post. Just right for using in your favourite rss news reader. https://www.macklin.co/redlib-via-huginn/

I've been messing with #infrared #photography using #termux #dcraw & #imagemagick  to process RAW files without needing a computer.

There are examples, instructions & the scripts, in mobile friendly chunks, on my #selfhosted website, & the basics are on github too (https://github.com/Linecutterx/PhotoScript) More examples at https://www.macklin.co/infrared-photography-0/

Wow, that's a big 3d printer! (If you've ever printed spaghetti on a smaller 3d printer then you know)

The sheath deals with that. Friction/screw tension makes it harder too. You're right though, there is no lock to keep it closed if it's not enclosed somehow.

You can change quite a lot (pivot & blade are original)

Proteins are made from amino acids, same as words are made from letters. If you eat a protein source that's short on some of those letters then you need to mix it with a source that has more of them... Otherwise you can't create all the proteins that you need. (It's a bit more complicated, but that's the bit that you need here)

I miss the "swipe to punctuation" from Swype. Typically, "w-e-.-l-l" to prompt "we'll" instead of "well". The other thing is the long press option on the main keyboard only has one alternate character. The secondary keyboard has more. I like it, use it as my daily driver & I'd recommend it.

Fairemail (https://github.com/M66B/FairEmail) is an excellent email app alternative. With a responsive dev too

Have you done any calibration, or just gone straight to printing?
