Very cool! It is always depressing, however, to hear about Japan's political environment. Do you know if the younger generation is becoming more open to leftist ideas?

For anyone who doesn't plan on watching the anime in full, the final closing goes unbelievably hard. https://youtu.be/b3HDHef3YTI?t=1163

This "anime" unironically helped me understand Engels' prefaces to Marx's works because I understood the context. lmao

Is anyone else unable to log in on web? (desktop)

Just get them to agree with you on things we actually believe in like corrupt corporations bad and gun rights good and then say yeah if only we had a socialist system all of that could be true.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'm having a lot of problems with Plex actually and their forum staff are kinda rude, so I was already thinking about finding another software. <3

Unrelated question, but how do both/either of you find "unbiased" information in English on the political environment within China. I have found it very difficult myself. (Assuming you don't speak Mandarin, that is.)

That's an interesting way of looking at it. It makes a lot of sense.

Good ideas. I'll work on my fan curve now.

Sounds good. Thank you for your help.

Although its just another OS, linux does have a major learning curve for the common GUI enjoyer like me.

When you all were first learning linux, did you have a specific resource you learned from? Was it more like doing projects and learning on the way through forums?

I just set up my first Plex server and found that I have to convert all of my totally legally obtained MKVs to MP4s to run on Plex.

Right now I'm encoding them with HandBrake and it's taking ~30 mins per file and using 100% of my CPUs capacity (running around 80 degrees C).

Is this how most of you guys do it? or am I missing something? I'm concerned about hurting the lifespan of my CPU. Would using my GPU to encode be a better option?

All that is left is a blank page stating the following:

Hello guys:

We have decided to close soap2day forever.

We are very sorry :)

Bye

Soap2day Team

I've searched for this information for a while, but haven't seen anything on it anywhere.

I know that some instances are barred from communicating with others. I've also noticed that many leftist instances are anti "tankie" while lemmygrad is specifically for us, which is kind of concerning.

My question: Is lemmygrad banned from communicating with many other instances? Or any at all?

Whenever I talk to people who are apathetic to politics I always say "apathy is a political statement." I've found it to be pretty effective once I explain what I mean.

Apathy is a privileged view of the world. This is a somewhat extreme example, but if you are apathetic to politics while there are people living on the streets you are essentially saying "those people's lives don't matter. I don't care if they die, are harmed by police, etc."

This is how I converted my girlfriend actually. Good luck out there comrades. <3
