Nice! I've helped with fruit preserves way back in the day but never tried my hand at pickling (except in Stardew Valley), definitely want to give it a shot someday though.

YES!!! I really wanted a "Let's rock!" gif but the only thing really visible at that moment is right after when Drake yells "yeeaahhh!!!" and the automatic gunfire goes off for about one second before cutting away. It could still work but not as gif-friendly as I'd hoped.

Hudson's last stand is probably the superior choice. He's super visible from this part here when yelling: "Come on! Come on, you bastard! Come on, you too! Oh, you want some of this?! Fuck you!" This gif would have great use!

Edit: Fixed video clip link

How long did it take you to get your pickle juice ratios where you wanted them? I just tried a new pickle brand and the juice went so overly heavy on the mustard seed that I was sweating it off after.

It's very possible my sheer lack of knowledge of the unix surrealism world means this has already been clearly debunked or blatantly confirmed, but I have it in my head that:

  • With some of the older techno-mage masters, such as the last fish, freedom is in their digital DNA. They spread freedom and unshackle others from their digital handcuffs as intended when they were created. The girl, however, is not necessarily created with this inherent will of freedom, but rather gains this will on her own after following the call from the elder to start her mission.

I just watched this last week, OP this is 100% what you're thinking of. The guy that directed this episode also directed Mandy with Nicolas Cage and Beyond the Black Rainbow.

For the curious, I zoomed in on the plate on the table and that is not a plate of fried or sunny-side-up eggs, they are cookies with little pumpkins frosted onto them!

Ghost Rider vs Galactus is interesting, I like the idea of an eldritch battle between supernatural horror and cosmic horror.

The Rocket Racoon & Doctor Doom will probably be a good time with what sounds like super geniuses in an Odd Couple setup.

My only confusion is the Spider-Man vs Doc Ock issue. No matter what way I look at it, Spider-Man fighting one of his most iconic villains doesn't feel like it fits in this series about unlikely duos.

The ancient legendary YT meme that Anon has as his profile pic is Leek Spin by Xyliex, created 18 years ago! I think it also popularized the Levan Polka as a meme song staple long before it's revival with Bilal the street drummer/cat vibing video.

And luckily it's already on archive.org so we've got one down!

My best guess is the Tales to Tremble By scary story collections:

Each story had some creepy art by Gordon Laite:

A lot of this fits with your descriptions from the best of my recollection.

Edit: Removed paragraph about potential third scary story series containing spider egg story, just realized that one was from Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark 3, so Tales to Tremble By and its sequel is my only guess here.

If smoking increases the chances of lung cancer, would doing these regularly increase the chances of colon cancer?

Thanks for bringing the comic to my attention in the first place! I agree that the concept sounds so wild that I have to have it. That bat-family-detective inspired itch got me scratching until I dug into the credits. I vaguely remembered a buddy had a Batman Noir edition of something but didn't confirm until today that I didn't imagine it and it was the Noir edition of The Dark Knight Returns (which I guess is right at home for Frank Miller).

The TDKR Noir was pretty cool too! I think color does a lot to sell the scope of the world, stories, uniforms, etc., but seeing just the pencils and ink makes the art really stand out in a different way.
