The idea is to get a slow controlled cure and not a quick dry.

I’m in an arid climate and I generally cut individual branches, let those dry, then harvest the buds, but some of my friends just hang the entire plant up to dry. If you’re in a humid climate then you might look at cutting it down to individual buds.

Lots of good info at https://www.growweedeasy.com/drying-curing and elsewhere :)

Now the real torture begins…

I love your setup, my tiny 4x6 is a bit challenging to get around in late in the season.

My greenhouse girlies did pretty well last year with zero training.

Got this monster cola out of one: https://lemmy.world/post/6442642

And this one topped herself twice, it was the dangedest thing: https://lemmy.world/post/6772062

What I’m doing is referred to as a mainline grow, it’s a type of plant training designed to get you a uniform set of 8 colas (the main flower stalk) instead of a single cola. It can increase the final yield and it looks pretty cool: https://www.growweedeasy.com/mainlining-nugbuckets

yeah I hear that, it’s gonna be a long time to get the manifold established. I’m doing this one mostly for fun and curiosity, if I actually get a good yield out of it then that’s just a bonus :)

I pitched them, I considered taking clones but I’m about at my limit for plants I have time to take care of.

Yep, it’s my own compost loaded with veggie scraps plus male plants and root balls from previous grows. I also may or may not pee in it now and then 🤫

I’m still using liquid nutes on my indoor grow, don’t want all those crawly bois in my bedroom haha

Thanks! This is my 4th grow, I've always used soil but this is the first time I'm using live compost instead of liquid nutes.

Ah, I see you are a man of culture as well.

Anyone here who didn’t come here to say this is in the wrong place.

3x Vintage Pakistani x 88g13/HP about 6 weeks into flower. Had a little scare with aphids in the past week but it only seemed to affect the spinach that was sharing the greenhouse with the ladies. Come on October!

I started using my M exclusively about a month ago and I swear I think I'm using maybe 1/3 of what I was going through when I was smoking.

The main colas on my girlies are filling out nicely :)

Plant #3 is crazy, she topped herself about halfway through veg and then one of those tops (left in the photo) split again just before she went into flower.

My wife’s first attempt at using methylcellulose as a binder in a veggie burger. It’s a mixture of TVP crumbles, spices, water, and the binder. They have a nice bite and chew and hold together really well, reminded me a lot of the thick packaged plant-based burger patties.

“Vintage Pakistani x 88g13/hp (Deep Line Alchemy II)” from Bodhi Seeds filling up my 6x4x6 greenhouse. A bit too crowded but it’s what I’ve got for now, I’m hoping to have a larger house for next season🤞

oh hello (lemmy.world)

On one hand I thinking it's so cool that a bee is checking out a thing I made, on the other I'm thinking get your pollen cooties away from my plants.

Natural split on the main stem, this is a first for me 😎

Three freshly chopped males settling into their future life as compost. I had some suspicions about 2 of them and this morning it was obvious that they were males. Into the bin they go!
