Yay! It's wonderful that a bad situation was turned into a fun kid friendly dance party protest! But shouldn't the hate group have to reimburse the city? There's some more pictures over on this site. (I like to look at protest fashion :)

It would be great to have your community join lemmy either here on blahaj or beehaw! I'd definitely subscribe! The closed registration was what most drew me to beehaw over blahaj, but I'm fairly defensive regarding potential troll exposure and the general unpleasantness of which the internet excels. Raddle could be a nice fit for you all as well. However an examination of the rules there would be well advised for those making the switch. Language frequently used on reddit would run afoul of many. Good luck with your potential move!

I always do it right after bathing and drying my clawfoot tub. The hair should be no longer than 5mm or it will break off instead of pulling out from the follicle! The removed hair will also look different if it was broken instead of pulled out. Its like you can see the base part at the end. Good luck! :)

My skin tone and hair color are similar to your description: it was significantly visible enough on my legs after shaving to make the act seems pointless. Epilating does work very well and makes me feel much more comfortable in my skin. Either as a result of the epilator, hrt, or both, its no longer so bad on my chest. There are still some hairs around my areolae and belly button but I could get away with just shaving my chest if I wanted. As a bonus the epilator will be better for the planet and save you money but the real true draw for me is the abject bliss of the pain. :)

That sums it right up I think but supposedly its for the worlds creditors who all read your local newspaper to watch for us changing our names just to get away from debts.

Congratulations! Hey Catherine, have you thought about keeping a diary? That's something I really wish I'd have done during my first year. It really is a magical time and having a diary of my first year or two would be a treasured possession despite some terrible circumstances. My first six months were in rehab :) Glad you were able to figure it out and to see you here on lemmy!

Yep! It's been five years so far of hrt for me and I still haven't legally changed my name. Most likely that's due to having felt like names were all fake for so much of my life. Yet why was I so jealous of my friend who just picked her own new name in grade school and got away with it? My state in the us still requires running a newspaper ad for a while which isn't something I'm looking forward to and the state I was born in requires gcs to change birth certificates. There's a fair possibility that I'm intersex as well though which would allow me to have my birth certificate changed to reflect that with only a test of some sort. I'm definitely going to get it all done before the end of the next presidential election here since who knows what horrors might happen if the republicans won in this climate.

Damn... That's an important mental health resource. Humor is a decent defense against both depression and authoritarianism: by means of it one gets through many a dark night. Thankful we are a wonderfully resourceful group but I will dearly miss traa meet chasers and the rest.

Apparently some are trying to make https://raddle.me/f/Trans happen? The fediverse has interested me for a while but it took another controversy to push me into becoming a newbie again. I'm still figuring out how to lemmy :) So far Beehaw seems to be a fabulous place and I'm glad you're all here!
