Enshittification is used plenty often enough, we don't need to be using it incorrectly imo.

If I had a dollar for every time Comcast told me to check if I qualify for this rebate, even after I tell them that I do not qualify, my internet cost would make sense.

Proton can make games from the windows store that I already own work on Linux? Proton can make games that are borked rated on protondb work?

I love Linux as much as the next tech nerd, I have a SteamDeck that I essentially use as a laptop when away from home, and I tried dailying Manjaro on my main machine for a couple months. Proton doesn't solve everything.

I can totally understand running windows on your main gaming machine, as that's what I do. I don't like it, but all of my games work. I also don't want to have to re-buy games on Steam that I own via the Windows store.

They're largely disregarding the fact that the laptop is easily repairable... They're kinda missing the whole point of the device/company.

Sweet, for sure, I have no issue with that.

The people complaining about ads who don't support creators in other ways is what bothers me.

According to the example, it just shoves your video to the side and shows a static ad, not a video. If it played a video with audio that would be fucked. If it's just silent stuff, honestly not even that intrusive or crazy imo. Smart TV boxes have been doing similar shit for a while, right?

Also, at least with YouTube you can pay to avoid it, if you'd like.

If so it won't be a buy for me, wifi7 is a must.

Yeah, that's all Alexa and Google have on home assistant. Not to mention that sometimes you have to write yaml to create automations.

I'm in the insider program (been too lazy to reset my computer and leave it) and for a while it would auto launch with the sidebar open for a bit. I had to close the copilot sidebar every time I booted my computer. They have since removed that "feature"
