Big pota fan. I love the idea of sota. I live in Illinois. A flatlander. There are precisely zero summits in any reasonable distance. Guess I'll just live vicariously through the rest of you.

What laptops/touchscreens are y’all using for portable ops? in c/[email protected]

I use a little avita tablet w/keyboard.

It has the benefit of being inexpensive and running on 12v.

I use it mostly for ft8 and logging.

I managed 10,953 miles, Illinois to to Australia on ft8. An ocfd dipole.

I was with someone when he heard the echo of himself coming around the long path.
