I lived in the south, man, I lived in most of the country, but the South... I do not see any hope for redemption there whatsoever.

100 years after losing the civil war they still had Jim Crow and the KKK, Hitler himself wrote about them as an inspiration in Mein Kampf, lynched returning black GIs, and even today they do everything they can to stop black people from voting, or minimizing the effect, when they aren't just beating brown people for kicks. And they still consider themselves proud of their "Heritage":

Personally, it's us or them now.

Btw, the reason the south had a massive opioid epidemic? After the welfare reforms the 90s, they realized that meant white people welfare too, so they all applied for SSDI for "back pain" (came out of the SS budget which rich people didn't care about), which came with free opioid pills they could sell for more money.

Until we fix them, we're doomed as a country.

Wisconsin is nice, much better than Michigan or Indiana, highly recommend. My only visit to Minnesota made it seem even better.

Dude, when I was a kid I moved from the midwest to the south.

It was like going from a decent, but backwards place, to living under the fucking Taliban.

I warned everyone to get out of the south while they could, but I know it's not always possible, I just hope most made it.

The South will NEVER forgive our unimaginable crime, we elected a BLACK MAN over them, that is an evil they can never get over, and they genuinely believe we did it just because we knew it was the thing they hated most.

FS, I'm so sorry, I'm not trying to be an absolute dick here though it will sound like it.

I saw this coming miles away, hence sending my family to Europe.

I desperately hoped I was wrong (and Kamala taking over made me dare to dream), but I knew the worst bits of my country too well.

I really fucking wish I had a better plan right now, this is like the end scene of Empire, but with so much less hope. :(

Am I crazy, or did we feel less helpless the first time around?

They're the ones who hate welfare spending, I'm just trying to help them follow their principles.

You should have to suffer the consequences of your beliefs, at least when you inflict them on others by force.

4’33 - John Cage

Isn't that literally silence?

edit: That's silence, you asshole! :p

That's some underrated deep cut shit right there.

Yeah that's mostly bullshit.

Your arm flies when you stick it out a window, and it isn't shaped like shit, so does a piece of paper.

It's basically like a sail, but horizontally instead of vertically, the onrushing air hits the bottom at an angle, is deflected down, and bumps the wing up.

The rest is just to try to reduce drag on the top (super-critical wings attempting to maximize laminar flow, or at least make the disconnection as far back as possible so turbulence creates the least drag on the wing.

Omg, you just made me love my job more.

That's an awesome analogy.
