You can get a Google pixel and sideload an operating system such as Grapheneos, and you won't have to deal with any of Google's bs spying. Highly recommend looking into it.

Wish you used Matrix instead. Kinda weird to use discord imo since it's horrible for privacy & as others have said it's just another closed-source walled garden, and that's the reason many people switched to lemmy in the first place.

Even if there's a matrix bridge to it I wouldn't join because my messages would still be stored on discord's servers (as far as I understand, correct me if I'm wrong). I hope you consider switching.

Best thing about the pixel is it lets you sideload your own operating system from Grapheneos, Lineageos, Calyx, etc.

The only issues I have are unfortunately still common throughout the entire phone industry (No user-servicability or repairability, no SD card slot, no headphone jack)

I know this isn't about lemm.ee specifically but I figured this was a good place to ask.

I always found it weird - even on reddit - that users could upvote and downvote themselves. Why not just have posts start at 0 votes?

The 3DS had some of the best system music out there, and these are some of my favorites right besides Internet Settings & June 2011 (eShop). I didn't want to split this into multiple posts so the other two title songs are here:

Summer Time

Rainy-Day Stroll

Weird, for me it shows an old html-lookin page with the same stuff as zophar.net/music (Almost reminiscent of emuparadise). Of course I didn't know this before since I'm pretty unfamiliar with Zophar as a whole at the moment.

Using the native formats sounds neat though, I personally can't see myself doing that but it's something to think about.

My main reasons for using mp3s are bc I only listen to music on my phone so I don't need to sync across devices or anything. It saves a ton of mobile data to not have to stream, & even if there's no signal I can jam out.

It does take a while to organize and perfect my library, but I actually love it that way, it's like a constant journey to reach my peak listening experience. Speaking of that, if there's something I don't like about a song (There's empty silence at the start/end, or i just want to customize it with a different mix) I just throw it into audacity & fix it up.

Not to mention I don't have to worry about platform-exclusive songs, everything I want is in one place.

I'd never heard of soulseek before but it looks like a really neat piece of software! I'll have to check that out at some point.

I have a specific order to obtaining my favorite vgm:

1 - Buy / Download from the artist legit if available, whether from bandcamp or as dlc for some games

2 - Check to see if sittingonclouds.net or sephi.zophar.net have it

3 - Check if it's on spotify & use spotiflyer if so

4 - Last resort if it's only on youtube or soundcloud... yt-dlp

Now that I wrote this I probably should have asked if you stream or download music but whatever.
