Yeah. I actually would refrain from doing that with people you care about, too. Just not worth it. Marxists need friends and family too and being a Marxist in the west is very lonely. But yeah if it's someone you don't like or they're a stranger and you've got an audience sometimes it's game on lol.

I prefer an exploratory conversation to any "argument". And if they are receptive to exploring an idea I will continue. If they are arrogant and not interested in dialogue then I will let them know they are being unconstructive and will leave it at that.

Sometimes I get heated although I am learning to be more dispassionate when talking to liberals You have to save energy. Sometimes you will run into a point with certain people where they are so convinced already of their stance that it's pointless ex they say Ukraine doesn't have a Nazi problem and Russia is evil.

At that point you're not going anywhere.

It's a bit difficult to criticize another country that isn't your own. Any criticism should be qualified always with something to the effect of "I do not not live in China/am not Chinese/do not know the language/etc.".

It also requires a vast knowledge of history and culture that I (and I assume most people here) do not really know about. Sure we can make some observations about the country, but I think the best way to even broach the subject of real scrutiny of China's issues is to read about them from Chinese authors themselves, or at least from western Marxist Leninist sources. That way you can be more sure that "hey, this person has a vested interest in the betterment of China along with the knowledge about these things".

As a native of a colonized land I can only look from the outside and admire what they have accomplished. And hope that they find Chinese Marxist solutions to their Chinese problems, many of which are caused by the contradictions of capitalism.

And I would hope that they return the same courtesy for my people.

Since they are Amerikkkans they fight to protect their ruling class and its ability to exploit them, although they are told it is to "protect the country".

Thanks comrade. Yes for sanity purposes sometimes it is best to ignore current events and delve into the history books.

This war in Ukraine if it goes Russia's way would a major event in helping tip the balance of power from the imperialists. Pretty disappointed with this development. Hope the resolution of this insurrection is quick.

Anyone care to fill me in on what Wagner is and what is being reported about them? I'm not really in the whole Ukraine war loop.

I think right now just Magnus Midtbo. He got me into climbing. Other ones I enjoy when I watch them are jujimufu and Larry wheels. They're not too broey and just preach being healthy and enjoying the workout.

I wouldn't bother with influencers for real like, direction that will lead to long term progression.

The best source I can point to you for athleticism (in the lower body especially) is Ben Patrick the Knees over toes guy. I was hitting my wrist on the basketball rim using his principles and lifts. Haven't been doing any jumping for a year because it's not my passion but it works for sure. Maybe I'll get back into it. He's not an influencer but a pro athletic coach.
