Pragmatic ambition is required sometimes. We have seen what happens when you are wasteful (Everton, Man U) and I'd prefer we be diligent and patient with our approach. We don't have the ability to spend like some other teams, so we need to make sure are better both off and on the pitch.

Me as well. That being said, I feel like they are all solid back ups for this moment in time IF we dont plan on challenging for both the CL and the league.

Rice, Ode and Havertz/Trossard should be starting and I only really want ppl who are upgrades or will challenge them for their roles

We lack an efficient, score from anywhere, with anything type of player and maybe he offers us that? If Eddie was a little bit better with his finishing I'd say he would be perfect but he just isn't quite there yet.

I was hoping for Onana, but I can't see either him or Everton being open to it so I'll pass on that idea for now.

Unless we sell players, I can't see us getting an upgrade and we may have to live with Elneny, Partey, and Jorginho until the summer.

What 12 yr old wrote that?

Eddie can stay. Solanke isn't worth what's rumoured.

I've seen a load of rumours, but the reality is we are pushing our limits financially and I can see us setting our focus on selling unwanted/unused players, and then we re evaluate the squad in the summer.

I realistically think we have what we need to compete, it's just a matter of staying healthy and finding out attacking groove.

The next game will be somewhat season defining I think. It's the half way point and a chance for either team to really cement themselves as a title contender against another title contender.

The top 4 is slowly drifting away from the rest of the pack, but given how competitive the mid table teams are this year I don't anyone can feel comfortable yet.

If? I can't see how they win. Maybe, just maybe McT pulls a rabbit out of his hat with an 82' freak of nature goal.

I haven't been glued to the TV the first 30 mins but from what I saw, it's been a one way train.
