The position of a president needs to be held accountable on a higher moral ground then that of ordinary citizens and not the other way around.
If you did shit that would land you in prison, then this needs to be the place where you're at.
This will continue, as long as people dont stop using the products of this shitty companies. So yes, everybody who uses Spotify made the choice to give them their money, so that they can continue with this bs.
You can blame the Management or whoever as much as you want, but as long as you dont change your behaviour and stop using their products, they dont have a reason to stop.
So yes, its your fault too!
Europe will step in as usual
You really dont know what it means if a Company is non-profit and opensource, right?
As long as humans are involved and we are looking at a long enough timeframe, the answer is probably always yes.
I was about to recommend the underdog youtube channel too.
IMO he does a really great job at teaching!
And the worst, is all the other decisions in Germany lately. They stopped nuclear completely and replaced it by coal. Right now they are tearing down wind turbines, to mine for coal in that spot etc.
So all the arguments talking about "nUcLeAr iS eXpEnSiVe" are missing the point in Germany by a magnitude that is hard to grasp....
Yes, we could reduces the nuclear waste by recycling it and the technology for that exists since nearly the beginning of nuclear energy.
But the political pressure and the fearmongering of nuclear, paid by oil money, prevented the necessary longterm investmenst in that area.
To put the amont of nuclear waste in perspective.
- Total nuclear high level waste globally since existence: around 400 000 tonnes
- Yearly produced hazardous waste globally: around 400 000 000 tonnes
Nuclear waste is merely a dent in comparsion to alle the problematic waste we create. At least are able to contain it, while we are not able to contain a lot of the other stuff.
Adding a random comparsion for scale. The skyscraper Burj Khalifa in Dubai weights 500 000 tonnes.
