I believe it was Deus Ex where you could fail the first mission if you took too long exploring.

As anxiety inducing as it would be, I think it would be nice if occasionally a game would come out where the entire thing was timed. Take too long and the bad guy will complete their evil plan and win.

I really hope not since I just bought one.

I read an article not too long ago about a guy who started a worker owned restaurant. Everyone got a really good salary and any profits would be split evenly between all the workers. The article reveals that the business hasn't actually turned a profit but it didn't matter to the employees because the business made enough to cover it's expenses and all the workers were paid really well (IIRC they were making something like $30 an hour).

The concept really blew my mind: a business didn't need to be profitable to be successful.

Capitalism really does seem to be the problem.

The way I understand it. Anyone on an instance will be able to see what other people on the same instance post, but people on other instances won't see the post because federation triggers through the source community.

Edit: it appears that federation works differently from how it works was explained to me.

I'm assuming we're talking about two women since it mentions that the witch is "coaching you on how to get men".

Reading the comic and the comments it's definitely a cultural/generational thing since there seems to be an even split between those that think a phone call is for urgent business only and those that think a phone call is no big deal and perfectly normal.

It probably depends on whether someone grew up with texting or not. My family only just got smartphones this year and before that we didn't even have a phone plan with data or texting so from my perspective, calling someone up is perfectly normal. I have noticed that since getting a smartphone, I've been primarily communicating with text messages (which from what I understand is also a bit outdated).

Yup. There's a reason they start every conversation with "Don't be scared".

The description I remember described the angel as several flaming wheels covered in eyes and wings.

I really like that pachinko analogy. It gets the basic concept across without having to wade into technical descriptions.

Similar situation as me. I haven't seen a manual transmission since my brother totaled his truck way back in the day.

No particular game. I'm just not sure how powerful the SteamDeck actually is and how well it will run resource intensive games.

That picture makes her look insane.

participate in programs that don’t align with their assigned sex

What exactly does that mean? Which school activities are gendered? Are they going to report male students that want to take home ec to their parents?
