Does that matter that he was also a producer? The producer isn't supposed to be a firearms expert either.

Now I'm curious how that would taste.

Our free time will be looking for the next job that's pays us enough to survive long enough to find another opportunity for a day's survival.

If AI are able to do all jobs, I don't think there will be any jobs left for humans to do. There would almost have to be a societal change at that point.

They're convinced that legalese is a magical language and if they say the right words in the right way, they'll become immune to the law.

They remind me of Cargo Cults.

I agree. The Republicans have really let the mask drop and shown who they really are. Biden wasn't lying when he said democracy was on the ballot this year.

I'll sometimes tag Lemmy communities in my mastodon posts. The only thing I dislike about it is how Lemmy displays tags in the post title. There's got to be some way to fix it so it's not so off-putting.

I always assumed that by the time of Voyager, replicator technology was advanced enough that they could perform any repairs necessary as long as they had enough power.

That said, I think Voyager would have been a better show if the whole show was done the way Enterprise handled the Delphic Expanse arc. Voyager getting more and more damaged as time passes would have really hit the "far from home" vibe.

School also doesn't teach you how to get dressed or wipe your ass but you still learned how to do those things.

Some things are supposed to be taught to you by your parents. There was nothing stopping any of us from sitting down with our parents and learning how to do taxes which is exactly how I learned about it.

I'm pretty excited about this since Dragon's Dogma was one of my favorite games.

I imagine he's like Ghost Rider and can tell with a glance if someone is guilty or not by seeing their soul. If the entity has a soul, then he knows. Goldfish? Probably not. Sapient reindeer? Definitely.

Another use I haven't seen mentioned is that it's good when you only have a single monitor. You can easily use shortcut keys to flip between the desktops. I could have my remote connection to another computer in one desktop and my local stuff in another and easily switch between the two.
