mRemoteNG has always been my go-to. Supports multiple remote protocols, though I've typically only used it for SSH and RDP. Tabbed interface, save a list of endpoints with the connections configs, etc. SSH just runs an instance of putty within the program, so it's pretty straightforward.

Yeah, it's one of the more egregious practices they ever had. Happened to me many years ago. I messaged the admins, they responded with a reason why I was banned. I played nice, said I wouldn't do that again and they restored my account. I doubt you'd get the same courtesy these days, if you even cared to try.
I don't know, go ask him... seriously, we need contributors. :D
Yeah I understand what you're saying, but by dumbing / watering it down you would then be stating, unironically, what the joke is making fun of. In my mind, the "PC Master Race" ethos both states that yes, "PC is best", but also makes fun of ourselves explicitly so that we don't take it too seriously.
I guess it would be better to say that we've allowed these things to be stolen. The shitheads definitely used these words & symbols to represent themselves, and then we as a society allowed them to be appropriated by and attributed solely to that group.
But the joke is "we're part of the Glorious PC Master Race", not "PC is best". That's some 5 year old bibble-babble bullshit.
The reality is that this community will either exist as c/pcmasterrace, or it simply won't exist.
I think if you're taking it that seriously, you're not in on the joke.
Exactly. To add, what do people expect that it would be "changed" to? If you drop "master" and "race", all you have left is "PC"... and there are already enough PC gaming communities across the various Lemmy instances.
In "changing" it, the community would simply no longer exist. Those who are of the opinion that the community should no longer exist should probably just move along.
Fair enough.
What would you be pointing them to if it's not called c/pcmasterrace? "Hey, go check out c/pc"? There are already multiple PC gaming communities across the various Lemmy instances.
Either this community exists, or it doesn't. Those who are of the opinion that it shouldn't exist should probably just move along.
In St. Louis (e- and many other places apparently, didn't know they were a larger chain) if you want Detroit style pizza, Jet's is the place.
