How about obsidian.md? I switched over about 3 years ago now and havn't looked back. Everythings in markdown and stored locally, plugins galore, tons of docs so you can write your own if you want, very active community. Legit a great app.

Yes! Annoyingly Reddit is such an archive of information for a tech in general and troubleshooting anything. Once the archiver's from datahoarders are done, why would I go back? Democratisation of the interwebs is just awesome too!
