I rarely see that,. But what I see all the time is Linux lovers being toxic fanboys trying to shove their "passion" down everyone's throat. Also, 99% of them being wrong about what it can "offer".

Its a pure superiority complex fanbase.

Or keep all communities public and stop using walled garden communities full stop. Along with keeping forum threads alive for easier documentation and searchability.

So your answer to "not owning" anything is to borrow the "thing" from someone/something else that owns it?

With your library example literally not being possible under the dystopic future OP projects.

I'm sorry to hear about the fire, but I think you missed the point.

The reason for a loss matters and the emotions around the reason also change. Just having blank acceptance is dangerous and people/corporatations would love to take advantage of you if you just accept bullshit.

Because accidents happen?

Why do we need any form of safety precaution?

I don't intend to crash my car. I still wear a seat belt.

I don't intent to burn my house down. I still have a fire extinguisher.

I don't intent to chainsaw my leg off. I still wear safety trousers.

I don't intent my furniture to fall on me. I still secure it to the wall.

I 100% believe we should charge companies a fee for any mistakes they made that we had to spend time correcting.

I know banks do this in the UK if you complain and they're in the wront.

All companies should do this. Watch how fast they'd fix their shit when there's a fincial penny related to shit service.

Okay, wow.

You do know rent is just someone with a mortgage on a house too right? (Paid off or not)

And if that landlords mortgage goes up, that will also make the rent they charge go up. ( Often far more than the rent, as it's percentage related. So, if your friend was renting, he'd be even worse off...
