I remember one time discussing the lyrics of this song with my mom. We both realized we didn't know any of the words except for the 99 luftballoons bit, looked it up, then finally realized most of the song is in German.

MY DEAF ASS THOUGHT PART OF IT WAS IN ENGLISH - why am I like this ?! 😂 (I have cochlear implants).
