I’ve been riding a few years and am now on a Himalayan. I don’t particularly care that it won’t do 170kph. It gets me where I want to go comfortably. While I have friends who like to ride fast, I’m happy with pootling along at the speed limit. I tend to do long days, and I still get there. :)

Totally do the ATGATT thing. Also, get as much training as you can. I try to get some training or coaching every year. The better the rider you are, the less chance you have of crashing.

Have fun on the 350. They’re a beautiful bike and sound awesome.

Himalayan. Goes everywhere I want it to, comfortably. It’s a fun bike.

Hmm…looks interesting but, unless it’s very good, I’ll stick with the official one for the time being. At least for my main library.

Hmm… couldn’t find rustlin for Joplin.

I can continue to use them as they are now, and any new features will be bonuses. :)

I've read people complaining on (ahem) discussion groups dedicated to other notetaking apps about how awful the mobile Joplin apps are, and how they're the reason blocking them from using the app. I don't find them awful. I find them perfectly functional and getting better with each big update. I see them as extensions to the desktop app. They don't do everything the desktop app does, but neither did Evernote when I used it. I've just finished writing an academic article using Joplin, which is my litmus test.

Keep going developers. You're doing fine, and your work is appreciated.

Sending an email to a colleague in the states and being astounded that he replied instantaneously. 😳

Man, I had a 2007 Shadow. Loved that bike. Utterly reliable and comfortable. Got her with 44,000 km on her and put 20,000 on her over eighteen months before she moved on. Loved the sound of her turning over and revving. ❤️

I’m riding this beast, baby. 🤣

Seriously, for me the Himalayan is a perfect bike. She’ll go literally anywhere, she’ll do highway speeds, but ishes not too fast, and she’s super comfortable. She’s simple enough so if something breaks, my limited mechanical skills can get it going again. And every time I get off her, she makes me look back.

I’m planning to set off to spend a few years riding a Himalayan (maybe one of the new ones) around Europe, though that’s still a little ways away.

Lots of news reports about this. I mean, there would be, given it plays to the west’s wish for problems within Russia.

Not sure if it’s posturing on Prigozhin’s part or an actual revolt against the Russian military. Time will tell.

I'll stay and hope it becomes my go-to Deddit replacement. I like the lack of karma, and the posts and comments seem of a higher quality.
