We as a country have definitely lost our "the man is trying to keep me down" mentality and have bought into this "we want to welcome you to the club" bullshit the Right has been pushing for years

When was this because white America had ZERO issue with the man keeping down everyone who wasn't a WASP.

They'll get nothing. Malcolm X is still considered the Black version of a Klansmann as far as white America is concerned. The US government will never admit any wrong doing even if Malcolm X rose from the grave and called them out. They'd just kill him again if he did

I think we should really stop blaming Russian propaganda and focus on blaming ourselves. There's too large a portion of the US population who lap up easily refuted news and opinions. Russia didn't make Americans stupid we did. Russia didn't divide America, its been divided since its creation.

Should've been speaking out against all the Republicans before Trump. Republicans like to act like Trump happened in a vacuum. All he is is just the human form of the Republican platform for the past 60 years saying the quiet parts out loud

For reference, when Francis was born in 1909, many Black people in the United States could not vote, only gaining full enfranchisement in the Voting Rights Act of 1965, when Francis would have been 56.

That's says a lot

I lost respect for the NYT after their How Hamas weaponized sexual violence story turned out to be a much of hearsay featuring a writer who liked a post calling Palestinians human animals
