Well, there is a crowdfunded documentary (which I even funded years ago) whose name is based on the last episode of the show "What we left behind" and where you can see interviews with the cast and the original writers imagine what an eight season might have looked like.

It's nice and they remastered several scenes of the show in high definition, so it's worth a watch.

Then you can rewatch it over and over again. I'm doing my third rewatch right now. I have only rewatched TNG once and no other series is as amazing as DS9 to me (though I have rewatched several individual episodes across all series)

I know Andrew Robinson has written a novel about Garak, A stitch in time, which I understand is well regarded and Garak is such an interesting character that sooner or later I'll check it out.

We feel your loss, but you should celebrate because it was so well put together and it had a charm no other series really had.

I agree with that sentiment, though it may just have been a good pun!

The problem is I feel either with people knowing or not knowing, it seems it's all been rehashed and overdone.

Maybe years ago, I would have answered characters must not understand what zombies are and learn the rules along the way.

I used to enjoy zombie movies a lot, but midway through "The Walking Dead" I couldn't take it anymore and I've ignored anything zombie ever since.I suppose I have the same rejection for vampire movies.

Thanks, I'll check them all out!

So they're all front ends or apps, they're not really alternative hosting services!

I have Android on my phone and MacOS on my laptop (I've been on Linux for several years, but I unfortunately don't have time to work on installing it and making sure everything works. Just life changes)

I was lucky enough to be working regularly during covid, but I didn't say I've never doom scrolled!

I just never heard the expression on Reddit (which is where I was at the time when wasting... I mean, investing my free time) :)

Apologies for my ignorance, but... What are they?

Are they front ends that strip YouTube of ads or straight different hosting websites, which will certainly incur in high costs to maintain the amount of videos posted to YouTube?

I guess I've also seen someone mention Piped. Is it the same thing as Newpipe (if you know)?

Thanks!

I've never heard of the expression "doom scroll"! It's awesome! With your permission, I'll start using it.

I also doom scroll Lemmy every night (which is bad, since I should sleep, but good because I stopped going to Reddit)

You guys joke about this, but he managed to create a connector with three sides: up, down, and "oh yeah the first side was the correct one"

Oooh, I never thought about reading the script! When this came out in 1997 internet was a thing, but not the same it is today.

You're right, she pauses after numbers which are obviously not prime (when primes were the known working theory)

We could argue that it's a very stressful situation and she pauses to think because it's not a relaxed moment and she doesn't want to get it wrong or another possibility is let the audience think for themselves and realize they couldn't have been prime, but then it would have been better if she had said loudly what the numbers were and the easy rule to exclude them

I'm sorry, I don't understand your comment.

The first sentence says that Cube 2 is great, while the last one says that Cube 2 is so bad! Which one is which?

You're awesome!

I never thought about it, but I've always been hunting for new details and this is exactly the kind of thing I was looking for!

Do you happen to remember if this is before or after Leven decides whether a trap number must be a power of a prime?

Because after she understands this, a number like 125 = 5^3 is a trap number, but a number like 212 = 2^2 x 53 is not a trap number since it has two distinct prime factors

Cheers mate!

Edit: I just found out that Lemmy can exponentiate expressions so 2^2x53 is not what I wanted to write (aka 2^2 x 53)

I've watched this movie more times than I can say. I'm less into it now (I watched it again 20 days ago and wasn't as excited with other movies I still watch again).

There was a lot of thought into it making mathematical sense and how to make it feel believable. The plot is perhaps not as deep, but the movie remains enjoyable!

Thanks! Sorry for the late answer! I am still resisting watching Twitch for lack of time, but if that's a good source, I'll go for it!
