All the sex workers I've known (and dated) had degrees and day jobs that paid alright. Sex work was how they both paid for those degrees and paid for their nice houses and vacations.

Some of these he's really just tacked in there. Makes me want to start something like "Farside Plus Heathcliff!" and just edit the little orange gremlin into other comics.

Seikiro Meshi (Delicious in Divinity) a new anime about an undying warrior who must protect his immortal charge, and also cook up inspiring meals from demon parts to nourish their hearts and bodies.

It's trendy to post images with heavy compression artifacts. It's a meta-meme called "deep fried".

I think it harkens back to old xeroxing or the early web and how images would degrade over time. Artificially adding in jpeg compression and degradation makes the meme "more real" by explicitly reveling in the "copy of a copy of a copy" nature of internet memes.

Floaters, caused (I believe) by lensing of your aqueous humor (the liquid in your eyes) which is a viscous fluid. That's why they show up more on bright solid color backgrounds (like the sky). As you get older, your eyeball fluid gets thicker and chunkier causing more of them.

He's only recently touched on L&O, but I highly recommend Skip Intro's entire copaganda series. YouTube playlist link but he's also on Nebula.

Interesting thought but I feel like BB has statues all over the place in ways that don't make a ton of sense. I suppose it could be that statue making is just extremely popular in Yarnam and surrounding lands. Or that people were turned into statues? Or maybe that statues are part of the Dream and the logic that runs it? Since we never see the waking world in detail...

Edit: Damnit, I didn't see this was a bot post. I'm all for bots that post news links but these Reddit reposters I'm not sold on. Unless they're also cross linking us to Reddit there's no connection back so commenting or replying on these is pointless.

Phobos and Deimos, Mars' moons, are captured asteroids and look like lumpy potatoes.

Pretty small study for what they're looking at, and they don't report (because they didn't measure) whether left or right leaning people are more likely to misjudge people. They also got very even groups (about 60 each of r-men, l-men, r-women, and l-women) but didn't report on differences between genders.

I didn't look at the raw data but I wonder if these questions can be answered with it?

I'm not even sure that I find the methodology convincing. Based on answers to one set of political questions, they pair you to an "out-group" member and then ask you to predict an unrelated opinion. How did they choose the second question? Because a person's views on... gay marriage and trans rights would likely be similar, but people can have wildly different views on gun control and immigration (and exclusively, if they're a mythical single-issue voter.)

Seems messy, and I think the conclusion (we just can't know how other people think, so we should be more open and tolerant) is exactly the kind of wishy-washy "can't we all get along" crap that allows right-wing governments to mass kill people. Not of fan of manufacturing excuses for that.

Oh you're going to be in heaven, it's one of my favorite books! He really gets into everything: how the game is structured, how different subsystems work (BSP trees, enemy ai, sound, music, every detail), and even gets into peripheral things like how the game was distributed, how the (old) console ports came about, and so much more. The copy on my shelf is actually my third because i keep giving them away to people.

This happened to me. My mother raises hens so when there were big egg shortages, we got some from her. The yolks were so rich that their color was practically orange and they would stain anything they got on. I've never had eggs so delicious and flavorful, plus anything I baked with them came out so rich and delicious. They really were almost overpowering and a little disconcerting to get used to. I'm amazed how bad even the best store bought eggs are now.
