Love the warmth! What emitters in the Hanks and Convoy?

That just makes your flashlight a multi-tool

Just having a bit of fun with a roll of D-C-Fix Milky I just got. Had to try out its diffusion power on my most concentrated light! Just stuck a piece to the bezel since I obviously don't intend on keeping it on this light. Here are the results:

Awesome collection! What emitters in the DT8s and the D4S? I still need to add those models to my collection and I can't decide how to option them

I would say the XHP70.3 is a very floody emitter due to its large light-emitting surface of 49mm^2^. I don't have an SFT40 light (yet) but the tiny 1mm^2^ Osram in the D1v2 blows away the XHP70.3 D1K in terms of throw, even with less than half the lumens it has more than 5 times the candela. The SFT40 is 16mm^2^ so it would be somewhere between those two extremes, probably closer to the Osram. In a light like the K65 that has a big reflector and drives the XHP to its max power, you can still get a lot of throw from the 70.X emitters. The K65 does 2x the candela of the Osram D1v2 with a larger hotspot, it's a light cannon! I wish Acebeam would bring the K65 back with the newer generation XHP70. The 70.2 has a yellow fried-egg beam with a green corona. The 70.3 has a beautifully clean beam with no tint-shift (orange-peel reflector helps that a bit)

Acebeam K65, XHP70.2 dedomed

Emisar D1K, XHP70.3 90cri 4000k

Emisar D4K x2, both 519a domed with boost driver, 4500k/5700k

Emisar D1v2 Osram W1

Love em all! The D1K has been getting the most use, such a great all-rounder. Beam is a nice middle-ground between throw/flood, and the 70.3 is a great balance of good color and high efficiency. Makes lots of pretty light and doesn't get too hot doin it!

Recently my most used light is my Emisar D1K with XHP70.3 90cri, in 4000k. I like to walk for about 2 hours, starting just after sunset. The D1K fits in my pocket, and has a beautiful beam when the blue hour turns to night. Not too throwy or floody, kind of in-between. The XHP70.3 90cri has a great balance of good color and high output/efficiency.
