You don't even need a lunatic or mass murderer. As you say, the logical choice is to kill one person. For the next person, the logical choice is to kill two people, and so on.

I've dived in kelp, it's an alien landscape, probably as close to feeling like I was on another planet as I'll ever get in my life. I hope people in the future can have this experience.
It's been spring for a month and a half where I live. Jasmin started flowering in July lol
