3 or so days in and liking it more than I've liked reddit in a long time. Boost for lemmy is likely going to be the thing that makes it permanent for me

I wonder how well the economics of taking all the poor and uneducated would pan out. Would we have enough resources to put them out on the frontier to colonize other planets without hanging them out to dry? I also wonder about different human factions with the alien races. We don't handle different beings being equals very well now I have to imagine we wouldn't be so united on the topic of intergalactic immigration. Definitely enjoyed reading, it's got me thinking.
