Slovakia: the EU’s new problem child (www.prospectmagazine.co.uk)

Borrowed from that other site...

New EU report: “Europe is stuck in a static industrial structure… [N]o EU company with a market capitalisation over EUR 100 billion that has been set up from scratch in the last fifty years, while all six US companies with a valuation above EUR 1 trillion have been created in this period.”

An Ifop poll commissioned by the French weekly Journal du Dimanche found that 52 percent of respondents said they were satisfied with newly appointed Prime Minister Michel Barnier, who was named by Emmanuel Macron after two months of political deadlock. The poll, which had a margin of error of up to 3.1 points, also found that almost three out of four respondents believed the conservative prime minister would quickly be toppled by a no-confidence vote.

Hamas attacked Israel, counting on the response being disproportionate and bloody. They wanted dead Palestinians and the Israeli government complied.

Hamas aren't the good guys here. Neither is the Israeli government, just to be clear.

What happens if Ireland grants them asylum? Can't they just use the CTA go go back to Britain then, should they so choose? Or do they have to become citizens first?

From one of the developers:

Excellent question. In the case of Java I2P and of I2P+, the attacker is actually gaming the sybil attack tool in order to trick routers into erroneously banning floodfills.

Basically the attacker has found a way to trick real routers into attempting to connect to fake routers. Normally, this is not harmful, fake routers are just offline routers. Offline forever.

But if you craft your fake router this one specific way then the router you are tricking thinks some real router, which is usually reachable, is offline. That's how it affects I2P without the sybil tool. The sybil tool, in this case, amplifies the effect of the attack and the duration of the attack, because the real router which is ddos'ed gets banned by the sybil tool.

Edit: I am deliberately leaving out specific details here.

And the Sweden Democrats. (not Swedish as I wrote before)

It's the same AfD that has the same talking points as the Russia linked National Front in France. What a weird coincidence, right?

A question. If the migrants that comes to Ireland via the UK first came into the EU in France, could the Dublin agreement be used to send them back to France?

This isn't a question of they should be sent back, only if they legally could.

I'm in java, but it still looks bleak at the moment. Just have to weather the storm.

More nodes are always helpful I think, but mostly it's about being up to date. This too shall pass.

Fair. I don't have a strong opinion on the matter.

Wasn't one of the reasons that the long term effects of puberty blockers weren't known, and therefore caution was advised? I might be misremembering though.

I don't get why children are less protected than the rest of us. It should be the other way around.
