Never buy a brand new home. Get one that's at least ten years old. All the mistakes made during construction will have been found and hopefully fixed correctly. It's still new enough to not have a lot of the old code issues that crop up in pre 1990s houses

I see the "follow twitter" business model is proceeding.

"We're having cash flow issues? What should we do?" "I know! Lets cancel the one thing that we're doing that people are just giving us money for!" "Brilliant!"

Nobody's going to watch long form videos on Twitter as long as YouTube exists

I used the old reddit /r/whatsthatbook a lot to find interesting books to read and help users find forgotten books and I wanted something similar on Lemmy.

Rules are:

  • Post titles must have at least one book detail.

  • A post cannot have more than one book/series. To clarify, multiple books from the same series are allowed to be in the same post. Multiple short stories from the same book are also allowed in the same post. If they're not part of the same book or series, they must be in separate posts.

  • Posts should be on topic.

  • Be respectful.

  • Always check AI-generated answers against another source before submitting them. We strongly prefer that users avoid AI answers in general, as they almost always match a description to an unrelated or nonexistent title.

Yeah. It reminds me of what I used to love about reddit.

Both my Bombay cats are like this. I tell people that I got dog software running on cat hardware because they also like to fetch and chew sticks.
