For me is all about security updates, I'll be using GrapheneOS once it's available.

Yea I had gcamera on my pixel 5 and it worked a treat (and gphotos with its permissions all denied other than to storage. I can't get tap to pay to work, but it's never been something I've used other than out of novelty so it's not much of a feature for me.

But it hasn't... Why lie?

My pixel 5 is still doing well and that's 3 years old, only gave it up as it's out of support

I started with Calyx on my Pixel5 it was good, but i think GrapheneOS is better. MicroG is good, but its still maintained by a 3rd party. Having full GPS but in a non previlidged state is nice to have (and it can exclusively on a work profile). I switched to GrapheneOS about 12 months ago, on my Pixel 5.

I just want to see what features I will loose (dont care about tap to pay) and how much I care about them... For me the biggie is the camera features.

7 years of support, plus I can always play around with GrapheneOS and CalyxOS if I fancy tinkering with it... Just need Graphene to be released for the 8 now.

In use an i3 12100 with whatever cheep motherboard from a good brand and 16gb of ram (it would be fine with 8gb, but DDR4 ram is cheep so more the better) if you look at ZFS and a real raid, it gets expensive quick, I use Unraid which is ideal if you have SMR drives and/or different sized HDDs. You can get cheep LSI HBM cards off eBay in IT mode which is perfect to connect HDDs to (my mobo only has 4 sata ports)

That's how I started, when I upgraded my PC my old PC became a dedicated Plex server running Linux, then the CPU gave up after 8 years (3 years as a 24/7 sever) then bought a PC to run unraid. Its a slippery slope, I started on 16tb of media 6 months ago, I'm now on 24tb...

December 2023 update... Now 30tb

Windows 10 IoT enterprise LTSC and disable telemetry. Don't bother with 3rd party apps for privacy unless you are 100% sure they are safe.

And never install from an ISO that's been tampered with. Get directly from Microsoft.

That looks incredible! what is that cooler? Did you 3D print the case yourself?

It turns out, its not a problem, its Plex, the problem I currently have, is that I have a share I want to remove, but I can't, as its not empty. But when I access the share and try to delete seemingly empty folders, I can't, and I therefore can't remove the share.
