Great! Can they fire the other NBC hosts for their incompetence and rejection of the international part of the Olympics?

They seem to only focus on the US and fully ignore certain aspects of the Olympics if the US isn't the priority.

Secret Service and local PD absolutely deserve to get reemed out and punished for this gross incompetence and security failure.

This is a huge issue that needs to be remedied quickly, else all our current and future politicians are at risk from internal or foreign enemies of the state. Regardless of your political alignment, all our politicians deserve a secure environment without risk to their own lives.

Anyone that blows this off as, it was just Trump, is massively underestimating the scale of this issue.

Being VP and calling for a ceasefire vs a President calling for a ceasefire is very different.

But I agree she is further left than Biden and am more eager to support her then when Biden was running.

You're right. Kamala is about as centrist as you can get with the only thing going for her being the current VP.

No one the could even possibly jump in and be a better candidate, but a two primary without Biden burdening it would have been better to nominate a true Dem candidate.

Exactly! I'm glad you understand. And weren't overly aggressive or anything.

Unless tails has the option to regrow said fingers or arm. You need to move forward with what is fair for everyone.

It's pretty much impossible to balance anything after the fact. You need to have a forward thinking mentality for progress to be made.

Wasn't there a space fight with horses on the wing of a star destroyer in the rise of Skywalker?

Good. There were many errors made by the secret service, and they've given a 60 day timeline to produce a report to share what happened that day. Which is way too much time given the seriousness of the event that occurred and with the election date fast approaching.

She deserves to be fired after her response to Congress.

Let's simplify this down to a coin flip.

Now for a long time, heads has been weighted to be the result for a while. So say the last 50 flips, it was 40 heads and 10 tails.

So you evaluated the coin and realize it's imbalanced. Would you weigh the tails side so the next 50 flips show more tails so that over the 100 total flips, it's balanced?

Or do you remove the imbalance completely, and can say the next 50 will be fair.

Statistics would say the later, but seems people feel the first option would make it "fair" even though it's not balanced.

Ok, but that's for the EC and for presidential and VP nominees by the EC.

In the dnc we have delegates with 1 vote for their nominee. If the delegates vote for 1 dem and another gets the 2nd amount of votes, then they'd be Pres and VP nominees for the dnc. Or actually do ranked choice for dnc nominees to get voter ranking of nominees.

How is it better for a presidential nominee to pick who they want vs listening to the peoples actual preferences.

How would nominating a dem VP by Dems via voting cause a civil war?

[–] BlitzFitz 0 points 5 months ago (3 children)

And if it's just for one party vs both, what would that be bad?

I get why it was changed for VP for the dem vs Republican nominee. But why wouldn't we want, as a party, better representation on who we voted for.

Maybe it's the time to go back to how things were when the US was founded. We have a vote and top two are President and VP nominees. Keeps the party aligned to what we actually care about and who we think is best, vs who the nominee or party thinks might be best.

More democratic this way
