According to one developer quoted in that post, about 75% of trackable wishlists of their sequel were achieved through crosspromotion from the first game's page.

@savvywolf @gamedev That doesn't really serve the purpose these cross promotion methods were devised for. These are meant to help you gather wishlists for your upcoming games, which is supposed to ensure a successful launch by getting you into steam's promotional algorithms (e.g. Popular Upcoming) as quickly as possible.
I agree that most of these techniques are too intrusive from a player perspective, though. I'd add a link in the main menu and heavily discount old games at most ๐Ÿค”

@Elevator7009sAlt I mainly play on PC but I'd love to play more on mobile, just so I can play more on the go. I have long commutes so that would be ideal...The thing is that most mobile games are freemium or gacha and searchability on the google play store is absolutely awful. It's hard to find good games ; v ; Maybe I should check itch for possible games first, you can filter by platform there ๐Ÿค”

New Ren'Py Extension guiManipulate allows you to adjust the position of screens in-game

guiManipulate by bronoais is a Ren'Py extension to manipulate the UI Displayables and obtain the values modified to achieve the result being seen.

In this alpha version, only moving (xpos and ypos) is implemented. More are expected to be added in the future.

Ren'Py 8.3.0 and Ren'Py 7.8.0 have been released!

The biggest new features in this update are:
- Audio Filters, allowing for effects like high-pass and low-pass filters, reverb etc.
- Text shaders, which allow GLSL shaders to be applied to text. Making a whole new range of text effects possible

@cevn I'm happy that they could go all out with the CGI this time around but I didn't agree with the art direction and some of the characterization. Reinhard and Kircheis' designs I especially dislike, where are their luscious locks... they look like run-of-the-mill ikemen now :BlobhajSadReach: And since they decided to continue the plot with a movie series I kind of lost track of it

@otomegames Half of the LIs are male, and you can pick the protag's pronouns, so this counts as an otome according to the rules, right? ๐Ÿ˜
